CHARTER OF DUTIES

 
  1. Promote Business: The most important aspect of CECC’s membership is to convey to the Government of India views of Indian and foreign companies on how to do and promote business and mutual direct investment between India and other countries and what changes can enhance this business and investment. Representations and views of companies duly analyzed and collated by the Centre can be taken up with the authorities, with the Centre adding its support and endorsement wherever required.
  2. B2B/B2G: The Centre, through its contacts with sister chambers, business houses and cultural entities in India and other countries, can help its members to diversify contacts and assist them in getting to know companies of their interest in both countries.
  3. Seminars: CECC plans to hold seminars on India’s foreign trade and investment relations, project execution in other countries by Indian entities etc to which speakers and those involved in trade and industry and project execution and investment both Indian and foreign, will be invited to interact with their counterparts. The Centre will also mobilize businessmen from India for visits to other counties in order to meet and discuss with foreign representatives from industry, trade project execution and investment. The Centre will strive to assist its members to participate in seminars, symposia, conferences, exhibitions, consultations and meetings of representatives of business houses and circles and at other similar events in order to establish and improve business collaborations.
  4. Delegations: The Centre will regularly host foreign business and cultural delegations and visits to which members will be invited for interaction to enable them to explore opportunities for cooperation.
  5. Business Queries: The Centre proposes to be in regular contact with the Trade Representatives of various Countries in India which regularly receive it important business queries. These are in turn circulated to the members. Besides providing a dedicated mechanism for building closer business partnership between companies of India and other countries, the Centre will render to its members help by way of expert advice and assistance to organize interaction with concerned authorities and relevant individuals for development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the parties.
  6. Interaction with Economic Ministries: The Centre will maintain close interaction with Economic Ministries in India, other Chambers of Commerce, Export Promotion Centres and a cross section of interested Indian business and industrial houses. At the foreign end, the Centre will pay special attention to developing business ties with various countries and in fostering links with parallel organizations in order to keep foreign partners well informed about the Indian market and opportunities.
  7. Information about the Business Practices: CECC offers an ideal opportunity for obtaining information about the business practices in India, Indian rules and regulations and Indian companies. It could also help obtain expert advice and proper guidance in connection with trade disputes and issues relating to the development of business. The Centre will also facilitate meetings with Indian authorities and interactions with the business houses.
  8. CECC will nominate a nodal representative from its staff for day to day coordination and correspondence with nodal point nominated by the Embassies of various countries in India.
